I was looking around the CW website. There is a forum called
See your CW self up in the BIG LIGHTs of NYC! It says.....
"Talk about your favorite CW shows and characters here and see your CW username and words up in the big lights of Times Square in New York City! This board will post directly to a ticker in Times Square in the evenings for all of September. Be patient, your posts may not show up immediately on the board, but as soon as they do, they'll stream live to the ticker every night."

Just thinking Amy lives in NY. She must go by Times Square. Wouldn't she be surprised to see something about GG on the ticker.
What do you think? |

It doesn't hurt to try to write something nice about GG and then having it appears on the Times Square jumbotron.
FYI, I don't believe ASP lives in NY. She might be here in NY for a few weeks while Jezebel James is being filmed. Having said that, non-New Yorkers should know that Times Square is a cesspool and no respectable person will stand on a street corner in Times Square, gawking at the billboards or giant screens. Gawking in Times Square is an activity reserved for Euro trash and for the people from neighboring New Jersey. |

| It sounds like a good idea to me, and I've already posted a comment about Gilmore Girls. |

Fran, it's a great idea -- hopefullly the only filter that they have is a censorbot that filters for cursing only or else they might delete anything having to do with Gg or even VM.
Potatojungle: The Palladinos do, in fact, live in NYC, they relocated to the city in order to film JJ and I would imagine that for as long as the show is in existence the only reason they would have to go back to LA would be for business/promotion for the show and even then corporate headquarters for the studios' parent companies are in NYC and meetings can be easily teleconferenced. Also, ASP is from the NYC area anyway, so even though they likely still own houses on both coasts (I'm speculating), I think the point is moot.

Season 8: Because I'm Reed Fish *started out* with a sticker price of $9.99 at Best Buy this week. While Because I Said So is merely on sale this week only at $9.99. (Hint!) |

@Rob,
They have a moderator scanning the posts. There are some up there already for GG and VM.
@Potatojungle
I live in NJ and haven't been to NYC probably in ten years even thou I live about 35 min. away. Last time I was there was to see "CATS". Never was really comfortable going into the city. |

Frannie,
Your post made me giggle. For some reason, whenever people from NJ visits NY, they always look lost. I don't mean lost like they just came into a new, unfamiliar place, but lost like they just entered into a foreign country and are scared kind of lost.
If you want to visit NY, there are tons of cool and interesting places I can recommend. Steer clear of Midtown and you'll do alright.
I hope you are not too offended by my ribbing of people from NJ. We New Yorkers always like to give people from the neighboring state a hard time, but it's all in good fun. Cheers! |

Nah, it doesn't bother me. I know what you mean about people going into NY and looking lost. My kids were like that their first time in the City. We in Jersey, since I live about 2 minutes from the Outerbridge to Staten Island, always have New Yorkers coming over to shop either at the Mall or Walmart. We always say they are coming over for the sales tax relief or cheaper gas prices in Jersey. It is all in good fun. Most important we all stick together in tough times.
I have a coworker who always goes into the city to see the Asian Art Festival or to see some doctor. Me, I had my fill of NY growing up going to Museums, shows, etc. Would never try and go into the city to see the Macy's Parade or on New Year's eve. Those events are for the daring, I would rather watch them on tv in the comfort of my own home... |

NY conversations always make me nostalgic. I grew up in Manhattan, but haven't lived there since I was 18 which was 1988. I now live in Massachusetts and when I come to NY I have such ambivalent feelings. Sometimes it feels like I never left, and in others, like dealing with the traffic, it feels so foreign.
I was in NYC this weekend staying with my mother, and when we drove up to Westchester for a wedding, it took us 45 minutes to go west about 5 blocks on 57th Street. You don't have traffic like that anywhere else! We were 45 minutes late getting to the wedding, but fortunately we made it in time for most of the vows. _________________ Luke: Rory's not here yet.

| If you are gonna be driving in midtown during rush hours, you'll be faster walking. A New York newspaper did a study and found the midtown traffic to be moving at a swifty 2 mph. Yup, that's 2 mph, not 20. Unless you work in the midtown area, try and steer clear between 23rd St and 59 St on both east and west side. Crosstown traffic are the worst; since the entire Manhattan is less than 2.5 mile wide, you should try walking if you need to go crosstown. |

But we were driving to Westchester, otherwise I would have walked or taken the subway. What we should have done is go crosstown further up, like you said, above 59th Street. _________________ Luke: Rory's not here yet.
